How to Reset iPad?
You should reset your Ipad, in case you are selling it off or you are giving it for repairing. Factory Reset Ipad deletes your account and removes your content.
Factory reset IPad using Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings. Now, you will have to enter your passcode and your Apple ID before the completion of the process.
How to soft reset an iPad?
In case, your iPad is lock and you want to restart your iPad but nothing is working. Well, in that case, hold the “Power” button and “Home” button at the same time until the iPad turns off and you see the Apple logo. Let it go for a while, your Ipad will be back to normal.
Back up before you do a Factory Reset iPad
There might be cases wherein your Ipad is troubling you with slow response or no response. Even if you access iCloud, it makes sense to have a full backup by connecting your iPad to your computer> unlocking it> waiting for it to show up in iTunes> clicking on it. Now, it will open the Summary screen, where you will see a Backup section. Click on “Back up Now”.
Once this process is completed, you can begin with the Factory Reset Ipad process. Make sure you remove your SIM card (if any) from the Ipad, in case you are giving it or selling it away. Removing the SIM card is essential as it might have the information or data stored on it.
All the versions of iOS may vary, but are almost the same in performing a Factory Reset iPad:-
- Click on “Settings”> “General”>scroll down to “Reset”.
- Click on “Erase All Content and Settings”.
- Enter your Apple ID password.
- The Factory Reset Ipad will take a minute or two and then you will see the welcome screen, which will ask you “continue”.
- The Ipad is now ready to be sold or taken for repair.
